- The Board of Revenue was established in July,1970.
- The Board of Revenue controls all matters connected with land administration, collection of land revenue, and preparation of land records.
- Settlement of land.
- Collection of land revenue, regulation & lease of land to encourage investments and increase employment.
- Custodian of the record of evacuee properties.
- Management of Judicial and Non-Judicial Stamps.
JUDICIAL POWERS
- Revenue Hierarchy exercise its judicial powers in terms of section 161, 162 and 164 of Land Revenue Act, 1967.
- Board shall be the highest court of appeal, review and revision in revenue cases in the Province (under section 5(2) of Board of Revenue Act, 1957)
- Under section 164 of Land Revenue Act, 1967 the Board of Revenue exercises special suo motu powers in revenue court matters.
